Attorney Mooradian's client, a young man from Guatemala, was recently approved for his Special Immigrant Juvenile visa. While the client is from an EB capped country and must wait to become eligible to apply for his permanent resident card, he has been granted deferred action under a recent USCIS policy. Pursuant to his deferred action, he will be permitted to apply for work authorization while awaiting the opportunity to receive lawful permanent resident status based upon his special immigrant juvenile status.
