Mooradian's client was recently approved for asylum out of the Boston Field Office. The client, who had suffered protracted physical and sexual abuse both in the United States and in her country of origin, had fled to the United States for safety. While she also became the victim of crime here in the United States, she was able to demonstrate that the police in her country of origin were unwilling and unable to offer her protection. The officer agreed and issued asylum after an extended affirmative interview.
